When will I receive my results?

At HealthScreen, receiving your results is a structured, two-stage process. Your assessment day is dedicated entirely to diagnostics — your results are then reviewed, consolidated, and discussed with you at your follow-up physician consultation approximately 2 weeks later.

Your assessment day

Your assessment day is focused on completing all of your diagnostics — including your Targeted MRI, comprehensive biomarker blood panel, ECG, physical examination, and any additional components included in your program. All diagnostics are completed on-site in a single visit.

You will not receive a results discussion on your assessment day. This is intentional — your physician needs time to receive and review all specialist reports before discussing your findings with you in a meaningful, clinically accurate way.

Your follow-up physician consultation — approximately 2 weeks after your assessment

Approximately 2 weeks after your One Day Diagnostics, your physician will walk you through your results in detail — explaining your findings, answering your questions, and providing a personalised action plan tailored to your health profile. This follow-up consultation is included with every program. HealthScreen

This is the primary appointment at which your results are discussed. Your physician will explain what each finding means in the context of your overall health, identify anything that warrants monitoring or further investigation, and outline your recommended next steps.

Why the 2 week gap?

Several components of your assessment require specialist interpretation that is finalised after your appointment day. These include:

  • MRI and CT imaging — interpreted by consultant Radiologists who are Fellows of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR). Formal radiology reports are typically available within a few business days of your assessment.
  • Biomarker blood panel — conducted through accredited Australian laboratory partners, with results generally available within 1–3 business days.
  • ECG — reviewed and interpreted by a cardiologist, typically available within a few business days.

The 14-day window allows your HealthScreen physician to receive, consolidate, and review all specialist reports before your follow-up consultation — ensuring the discussion you have is complete, accurate, and clinically informed.

Tests with longer turnaround times

Some components have longer processing timeframes and may not be available at your 14-day follow-up consultation. These include:

  • Genetic panel testing
  • Microbiome testing (Gutlinx)
  • Biological age testing (GrimAge)

These tests are processed through certified laboratory partners and may take several weeks. Our team will advise you on expected timeframes for these components at the time of your assessment, and your physician will discuss these results separately once they are available.

What if something clinically significant is identified before my follow-up?

If an urgent or unexpected finding is identified in a specialist report received before your scheduled follow-up consultation, our team will contact you directly rather than waiting for your appointment. You will not be left without guidance if something requires prompt attention.
