What happens on the day of my assessment?
Your HealthScreen assessment is a coordinated, single-day experience. From the moment you arrive, everything is structured and planned. There is no need to navigate multiple locations or piece together your own results.
While the specific components of your assessment will depend on the program you have selected, most visits follow this structure:
1. Physician Consultation Your assessment begins with a consultation with an experienced HealthScreen physician. This is not a brief intake, your doctor will take the time to review your personal and family health history, current medications, lifestyle, and any areas of concern. Your diagnostic program is then tailored to your individual risk profile based on this conversation.
2. Advanced Medical Imaging Depending on your program, this may include a Targeted MRI, a CT Calcium Score to assess cardiovascular risk (if clinically indicated), Carotid Doppler Ultrasound to evaluate blood flow and stroke risk, and Thyroid Ultrasound. Imaging is conducted at accredited facilities and reviewed by local consultant radiologists who are fellows of the RANZCR.
3. Comprehensive Biomarker Testing A detailed blood panel assessing key systems including metabolic health, inflammation markers, hormonal balance, liver and kidney function, and more.
4. Additional Assessments Your program may also include genetic testing, body composition analysis, or other tests relevant to your risk profile.
5. Results Review Two weeks after your HealthScreen appointment, your referring doctor reviews your findings with you in detail. You will receive a clear, personalised explanation of what your results mean, what (if anything) warrants further investigation, and your recommended next steps.
You leave with a full picture of your health and a structured plan.
Assessment duration varies by program, but most visits are completed within a single day. For specific timing relevant to your chosen program, contact our team on 1300 03 1300.
