What should I wear on the day?

There is no formal dress requirement for your HealthScreen assessment. However, we recommend wearting comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You will be moving between different components of your assessment throughout the day, and comfort will make the experience more pleasant.

What to avoid

  • Metal fastenings, underwire, or metal-framed clothing — these must be removed before MRI imaging. Underwire bras, jeans with metal zips, and belts with metal buckles. Opting for clothing without these elements reduces unnecessary inconvenience on the day.
  • Jewellery, watches, and piercings — all metal items must be removed before entering the MRI suite. If you wear jewellery that is difficult to remove, we recommend leaving it at home.
  • Products containing metallic pigments — while uncommon, some cosmetic products can interact with MRI equipment.

For body composition scans (InBody) If your program includes an InBody body composition scan, you will be asked to remove shoes and socks and stand on the device. Light clothing without heavy metal accessories is ideal for this component.

If you are ever uncertain about a specific item of clothing or jewellery, particularly for the MRI component contact our team before your appointment and we will advise you directly.
